    Credit Card Fraud by Ex-Friend
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Kentucky/Florida

I had a friend who came to visit me from Florida to Kentucky. While he stayed with me, he stole my diamond earring ($4000) and my credit card and used it in state of Kentucky, California and Florida. Once He went back my credit card company called me informing someone was trying to use my credit card at ATM. I filed a police report in Kentucky and went to Districy attorney's office and thet said they can't do anything since he is in Florida and can't bring him to kentucky for charges. He used it upto $700. He has done this to other people including his family and gotten away before. I called him to question about it and he wont answer his phone, I spoke to his father and he told his father I let him use the credit card because I am a good friend. Now from what I hear is that they are getting an attorney and try to get me for accusing him for using the credit card. After all this incident, he has constantly been calling me and my girlfriend with block number and won't say anything and I know its him because I used this thing on my phone where it shows private numbers. He is getting really annoying and won't leave me alone and he is bragging to everyone that I can't do anything about it. So what are my options to press charges and have him do jail time. He has record of D.U.I., Burgarly, running from police and other drug charges. Thanks in advance.

Speak with an attorney in the jurisdiction in which he lives. You'll likely need to file a police report there, as well.

    Thank you for your response.
I tried filing police report there and they said they cant do anything because credit card was stolen in kentucky. I would contact the attorney or even take him to small claims court but i am 12 hours away so, would it be worth it at the end after all the cost and everything?

I know couple of weeks ago he got arrest for burgarly and was released on bond. he was charged with STATUTE: 810.02(3)(B)
CHARGE: BURGLARY / DWELLING NOT OCCUPIED (NO ASSAULT / BATTERY - NO WEAPON)

I plan on filing a police report here in kentucky for harrasment.

so my question is...is there anything I can do to get him in trouble? and with the lifestyle he is living, i am sure he will do some prison time soon...
