My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
I was wondering if anyone knew wat i should expect to happen @ court with a first time possession of marijuana charge. And wat could i do to get out of it if anything?

I have experienced this first hand. If the only charge is possession of less than an ounce then chances are you will be eligible for PC1000 DOJ (deferred entry of judgment). This is a 12 week drug treatment program that you must attend to. They will drug test so you must remain clean but it is a decent way out. After you complete the 12 step program you will be referred to aftercare which is once a month for 6 months. You will then be cleared from anymore programs. Follow all instructions the program tells you or the court will bring you down. After a total of 18 months from the day you were caught you will have a clean slate for your record. It will show up as if the arrest never happened. Biggest problem is the waste of time it takes and the amount of money they take from you. It is still worth it to complete this because it IS your second chance
