Hi, I did a stupid thing a few days ago. Got caught at a grocery supermarket for about $ 16 worth of stuff ( i am 21+). The store people told me that they wouldnt file a police case, but give me a form saying i had to pay about $ 100 (civil action) in 15 days to the collection department.
My question was, what would happen if i am unable to pay the amount. Would they file a criminal charge against me? The have my license number as an an id, but not my current address or number.
Would anything come on my record? I am on a visa and plan to work in this country..

i think i signed on 3-4 forms..one admitting the guilt..
