Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Appear in Court
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

My husband was charged with paraphernalia while working in Florida. In a vehicle with 5 other guys...a straw was found in door and no one took blame so they all got charged. He had a court date. My dad died 3 days before court and we went to WV to deal with that and he missed court. What can we do to resolve this? And, if he does go turn himself in..will he be eligible for bond or have to stay? He's NEVER had any charges anywhere before. How long is jail term if they have issued a warrant? We have no idea what could be facing for either of the charges but want to get it taken care of as he works in Florida frequently. Thanks!

He should retain a lawyer in the county where he was charged to try to work out the terms of his surrender, and perhaps even to work out a plea bargain or other disposition in advance.
