Nevada Resident Gets Speeding Ticket in California
My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California
I was in the process of moving to CA from NV and got a speeding ticket in Sacramento. My NV DMV says that points are not added to driving record if a ticket is issued from out of state. However, my concern is that this will still affect my driving record and my insurance will go up. Am I still eligible for traffic school even though at the time I wasn't a CA resident? I can't find information regarding out-of-state driver's insurance being affected but I know those buggers (insurance co) will get me somehow and my hope is that by attending traffic school, they can't!
Any tips?
Thank you!
Sarah
Re: Nevada Resident Gets Speeding Ticket in California
Are you telling us that you obtained the ticket after moving, but while you still had a California license? That you already had a Nevada license at the time you were ticketed? If the former, are you telling us that you have since obtained a Nevada license?
