Lynnwood Automated School Zone Speed Trap
My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: WA
I have received an automated ticket for speeding in a Lynnwood school zone as well. I am trying to decide whether to pay this nuisance ticket or go to the court date.
Here's what's bothering me. The posted speed limit is 35, but 20 "when children are present". Children were not present. I was cited for speeding based on time-of-day. No children are visible in the photos.
If the speed limit is different by time of day, then that's what should be posted. I'm pretty frustrated by this speed trap.
The court date is in the middle of an important work day for me. Perfect.
thoughts?
Re: Lynnwood Automated School Zone Speed Trap
Was the date of violation while school was in session? Because school has been out of session for at least a month now. Well, I'm not sure about the Lynnwood SD, but most school districts are done by June 25.
