Will a Juvenile Record Affect Employment As Teacher
    State of Florida:
I have just been offered a position to teach in the Palm Beach County School District? Part of the process now is filling out a security form and having my fingerprints taken to verify my background. On the Security Form it says, "failure to list any info, no matter how long ago, will be grounds for termination." The first question asks, "Has your driver's license EVER [("ever" in capital letters)] been suspended or revoked?" Farther down the form, it asks "Have you EVER pled no contest in a criminal proceeding?"
When I was 16 (~2001) I was arrested for underage drinking, and I pled no contest in court. As a result, my license was suspended for 6 months.
Do I report this? That is, do I answer yes on the form? I ran a background check to find the dates, and there was no record, but the form says "EVER." I am concerned that since my fingerprints were taken following the arrest that there may be a hit in the system when they check my prints. Thank you to anybody who can provide an educated response to this.

Read these statutes. I expect that their background check will include your juvenile records.

ZT3- For being a teacher you arent very good at reading. List it. Briefly say something like, regrettably I was arrested as a juvenile for underage drinking (date, location). Dont go on and on, or try to make excuses, state your case and good luck teaching.

Remember, if you lie and get caught, you will have to own up to why you were fired on your next application... These people are educators and some have done worse than you. You need to set an example and own up to your youthful ignorance, thats what you expect of your students, correct?. It was a mistake, we all make them.
