Emancipating to Avoid Living With My Father
I Am Seventeen Years Of Age, Born April. I Live With My Mother In Indiana.. She Is A Caring And Loving Mother. I Have Planned What I Want To Do In Life, And Where I'd Like To Be In It. I Am Going To Be A Jr In High School Come August. I Should Be Graduating This Year, But I'm Not. After My Jr Year I'm Getting Home Schooled But Its Sorta Not Like It. You Get A Box Sent To You With All Of What You Have To Do. So I Will Have A Lot Of Self-Motivation For It... After I Graduate I'm Going To College To Become A Photographer. I Know I'm Only Seventeen But I Am Growing Up. I Have Had A Job For Around Three Years Now.. I Know It Would Be Rough On My Own But I Cant Deal Anymore With My Mom Threatening To Make Me Live With My Father (Of Whom I Dis Like Alot) Tell I Turn 18.. He Drinks Alot And Has Chocked Me Before So I Really Dont Want To Be Sent There.. Please Anyone Have A Solution To This?! I Wish To Be Free From Custody Of My Mother, And Have Nothing To Do With My Father, I Also Understand The Consequences Of Being On My Own And What May Happen.
Re: Emancipation in Indiana

Then you've answered your own question.
Emancipation is not an option for you.
Re: Emancipation in Indiana
How Is It Not. I Have A Way To Support Myself.. I Have A Plan For MY Individual Livin, And Understand What Might Come Along For example..Consequences!
Re: Emancipation in Indiana
So tell us what this plan to support yourself is and how much income you make every month.
Re: Emancipation in Indiana
I Have A Fiance(Andrew)And He Has Job Too. I Make About 200 Or More Every Other Week I Know Thats Not Much. But Until I Get Done With My Jr Year Ill Be Able To Work Way More. But Anyways Andrews Friend Mitch, And His Girlfriend Would Move In With Us And Are Rent Would Be Split, So All Of Us Have To Pitch In.. But We Will Be Able To Afford Food, And The Bills.

...and that's precisely why you will not be emancipated.
Emancipated does NOT mean you go and live with your fiance.
It does NOT mean you have room-mates who are helping support you.
There isn't a court in the land which will emancipate you in order for you to go shack up with your fiance.
