Inconsistency in Officer's Statement About Radar Reading
My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: WASHINGTON
I am contesting my school zone speeding ticket. The officer's sworn statement says that he clocked me at 570ft. going 34mph. He also says I was well within the 300ft. school zone when he got his digital readout. He was between me and the school so if he clocked me at 570 ft. how could I have been within the school zone. The speed limit at 570 ft. is 35mph.
Re: Is the Officer's Statement Contradictory
Why don't you post the ENTIRE statement. As opposed to our asking questions and you answering them one at a time.

and how are you at trig? how far from the edge of the road was the officer's car?
Did you actually go out and measure anything?
Re: Is the Officer's Statement Contradictory
can you file a motion to admit in this case? If so, file one and ask (amonst other things you want to have deemed admitted) them to admit that you speed was x MPH with x=speed limit. Then when they dont answer, its deemed admitted! Motion for dismissal prior to trial. See your civil rules for who you need to serve & if you need to file a copy with the clerk. Generally, after 30 days of no response, what you ask to have admitted is admitted.
