I Believe My Father Has Hidden Assets in My Son's Name
Ok, a few years ago, my Father and Grandfather (who together own a huge company) asked me to hide assets in my name. I refused.

Shortly after that, my ten year old son told me that he and his Father (my ex-husband) had gone with my Father and Grandfather to a lawyer and signed a bunch of papers.

I'm about 99% sure that they hid the assets in my son's name since I refused to cooperate with their illegal activity.

A bunch of things are going on now to lead me to believe that this is not just an assumption, but a fact. I'll leave the details out though.

My question is, is there any way to find out if I am right and find out if my son has assets in his name?

    Facts:

    1) I have half legal custody with my ex-husband.
    2) My son is now 13.
    3) My Father and Grandfather's company was in the middle of a very large personal injury lawsuit at the time they asked me to hide assets and told me that was the purpose of hiding the assets.
    4) I've never asked my ex-husband about the matter and don't intend to. We don't get along. And in fact, if he's done something illegal here and I find out about it, I intend to pursue legal avenues against him.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea how to start other than to possibly correspond with my Father and Grandfather's attorney, but I don't know if he's even required to divulge information about the matter.

    Thanks!

You can ask your son's father and grandfather to see what they tell you.

You can search public records, or hire somebody to search public records for you.

You can hire a private investigator....

This isn't actually a legal question. And it may well turn out that there's nothing in your son's name.
