Out of state visitation question
I have decided to allow my ex to take our child to his home for two weeks this summer on the condition that he picks up and brings the child back, he lives a few states away. He has agreed over the phone that he would do this. As I previously mentioned in another post, our court order was for when he lived in the same state , and it stated that He picks up from me..and I pick up from him. Since he has agreed ,I'm worried that once he gets our child he will then get to his home and tell me I have to pick her up since that's what our papers said. Would he get in trouble for this?
If I record him on tape recorder saying he will bring the child back can I use that as an agreement we made and make him reimburse me if this were to happen?
Re: Out of state visitation question
Custody laws vary by state, as does the law pertaining to recording telephone conversations.
Consider trying to get him to commit in writing to providing transportation both ways.
