interesting point, "street value" of 3 P's is only ~6 Gs vs 19 Gs of benjamins???
is everything being seized? vehicle, clothes, etc as "trafficking related"??

that doesn't mean the difference between legal pot and illegal pot. and no it wasn't labeled because my caretaker is not a pharmacy.
remember every 45 seconds the police are wasting their time and your tax dollars on people with marijuana. putting them with real criminals that teach them how to do even worse crimes. while in the meantime there are rapist's, thieves, and killers running around in your neighborhood while the cops bust that stoner down the street because its easier.
Would you notice the smell of 19,000$ in someone's baggage? no
would you notice the smell of 3 lbs of marijuana? most likely. not a bright idea in my book to bring smelly substances into public places where lots of people are going in and out of. money on the other hand i kept with me for safe keeping and DID NOT keep it in the car overnight.
and yes they want to keep everything i am going to court to fight for my car and the money still.
they gave me everything out of the car except my money and the tiny bit of pot i had a pipe and a Tshirt i had just bought. which they let me keep my other clothes i had just bought... just the tshirt had a potleaf on it.
then comparing it to OXY in a labeled bottle is useless, right?
Cool. A rant from Dr. Reefer.Quote:

How exciting.
What, exactly, is this medical condition that requires you to have 3 lbs of pot on you at all times?
Terrible excuse.Quote:

the court won't believe that either.
Get an attorney.Quote:

Strange.Quote:

Very few people have pictures of their medications on them.
Not a very strong argument that you aren't advertising, either.
If the 3# of marijuana was yours, you weren't dealing, and you were in lawful possession, why did you lie to the police and say you had nothing to do with it?
And the reason you had $19,000 in cash in your car was what? Unless you were buying something very expensive that had to be purchased in cash, any sensible person would keep that kind of money in a bank account.Quote:

The police version being that you're a drug dealer, and you confessed to selling the three pounds of marijuana to your friend (the confessed drug dealer) you left it with?Quote:
Quoting anscrewnotty
Again, why would you be driving around like that with $19,000 in cash in your car? It's not even slightly sensible.
Let's say that my friend was a drug dealer, I "left" my drugs with him, the police raided his house, he said that I was his supplier and that I had the cash from the sale in my car, and when I showed up I had the cash in my car as described and lied about leaving the drugs.... yeah, I could see how I would be charged.
So now your story is that you were afraid somebody would smell your pot at the hotel and mug you for it or break into your hotel room?
i have anxiety, broken vertebrae, insomnia, and GERDS.
medication in a bottle or in a bag should make no difference on storing it at someone's house overnight. its still legal medication.
So if he looks guilty might as well just throw him in with the rest of the criminals. I went to jail for the weekend and learned more ways to pull off criminal activities then i had ever known in my life. good place to put people.
marijuana stinks. people notice it. i did not want the hotel to complain or call the police or someone at the hotel to do so. i have heard of many people being busted in hotels with their pot.
i do not use banks except to order things online. I had only 10,000 saved up after 5 years. wow thats a WHOLE LOT right? lol no. my mother had just given me 9500 from my grandfather who passed away the year before. to bring my total to 19500. (spent a little on food/gas). I JUST MOVED! was bringing my money from my old place to my new one. I left my house drove 5 hours to my dad. drove 4.5 hours to the doctor with him. drove 4.5 hours to take him home. and drove another 2 hours trying to make it back to my new apartment before i was to tired to continue.
i hate banks too cus everytime i use them i end up getting charged overdraft fee's and such. + i have to pay a monthly fee for keeping it there. and saving up barley 2000 a year wasn't worth me loosing money over and over again.
i did not lie to the police. i just did not voluneteer information. they didnt even say anything about 3lbs until after i was outta jail grabbing my personal belongings from them. they quickly said "3lbs is well over your limit". they had only asked me "how much is it worth?" trying to get me to admit i knew how much marijuana was there and my intentions were to sell it during the arrest. but that was not the case they just assume it was and after one cop told his boss infront of me that i just admitted to it i shut my mouth because i was like i DID NOT say that. they asked me to give up my source of pot... i said no and offered them a coke/meth dealer that robs people with guns. they denied that and said they want growers. im sorry but someone following the law i will not give up their trust.
my friend made a statement saying he was selling it for me and that i knew he was doing that.the police said i admitted this was true. there was no money transfer between the 2 of us and he did not say in the report that there was any money involved. if we had done an exchange the cops would have got me with marked money since he tried to sell it to a cop/informant. which was NOT the case. 3lbs is not worth 19,000 in the first place.
Is it wrong to display a pot leaf on a shirt when i support medical marijuana? does it make me a criminal to have marijuana because pills hurt my stomach and make me sick? when i was younger i took ibuprofen without food many times. due to that i now have great stomach issue's and pains.
sorry for the ranting :( i do not mean to pass judgment on anyone here. i am very glad to have people point out how the court may look at the situation. i just had read the NORML signature thing that changes saying every 2 minutes someone is raped etc.... and all the statistics. made me think!
Incorrect. There is a vast difference to a prescribed medication in a pharmacist's bottle and a baggie of pills in a pants pocket.
I am glad you are making friends.Quote:

how's that plan working out so far?Quote:

That's crap.Quote:

you admit to using banks, but not when you are carrying 20K.
Either you didn't want the bank to wonder where the money was coming from, the IRS to wonder how your income was created or you needed to keep the cash liquid.
You better have a significantly better answer than "I don't like banks" when the judge asks.
That's also crap.Quote:

And, suddenly, your entire story falls apart.Quote:

Why would such an upstanding person know a gun carrying meth dealer... but wouldn't give up a legal grower?
People that follow the law have no need for your "trust". This is like you refusing to give up the name of the person that sold you your car.
Well, if it really was a legal transaction.
Cool. Your friend rolled on you.Quote:

Nice.
Let's all pretend it isn't our first day, okay.Quote:

You and I both know that this is a common method of identifying users and sellers.
Also crap.Quote:

Enjoy prison.Quote:

As long as MM has its quasi legal status and some (not saying you) use the prescription as cover to deal weed, people like you caught in suspicious circumstances will continue to be prosecuted. It's the risk you take. Also I'm not judging but the overdraft and monthly fee excuse for no bank account is very weak. Overdrafts are easily avoided and with an amount like 19,000 you would earn money with interest not pay.
you must be a great doctor cyjeff. massive chemicals through my stomach does not make me feel good, and is less safe then marijuana. Having my stomach ruined from pills made me not want/like using them especially since they make me sick.
i will try to enjoy my time in prison because im pretty sure i will end up there for at least a few months based off most people being just like you. Finding every excuse they can to put someone down.
i was looking here for some advice on what could help. i can see i was wrong. assume their guilty until proven innocent!
PS previously convicted criminals over petty pot crimes that are growers usually do not like to be pushed through the legal system having their plants ripped from their homes and all of their equipment taken until they can prove its legal. Cops are in business to bust people doing crimes not people following the law. assumptions are made people are hurt and innocent people go to jail.
Thank you for your time.
Not a doctor at all.
That isn't even English. The whole "I smoke pot because I have a tummy ache" isn't going to fly very far.Quote:

Just drug dealers.Quote:

you admitted guilt. Now you are trying to figure out a believable story to tell the nice judge that will make all of the pieces of your little story hang together.Quote:

You leave 6K worth of pot with a friend because you are worried about being questioned even though you have a legal right to have it. Your friend, however, DOESN'T have a legal right to have it.
Your friend, by the way, that just HAPPENS to be under surveillance as a drug dealer.
That friend that rolled over on you.
Now, you are willing to narc out whomever you think you can... EXCEPT the one person, your "caregiver" that is legally allowed to provide you with several thousand dollars worth of pot at a time.
Let's not forget that you have 6K worth of pot.... but are homeless. How did you pay for that? You were only able to save 2K a year... so where did the money for your brick come from?
So, your "grower" is a former criminal. Yeah... this gets better and better.Quote:
PS previously convicted criminals over petty pot crimes that are growers usually do not like to be pushed through the legal system having their plants ripped from their homes and all of their equipment taken until they can prove its legal
Especially drug dealers. Everyone BUT you says you are a drug dealer... and your excuses stink.Quote:

My grower is a terrible person for having a couple to many plants in his place and getting convicted of a felony when he showed the police his grow room when they came to his house asking. that makes him a very bad criminal....
if you read i also have a broken vertebrae so its much more then just a tummy ache. lethal amounts of pills to numb the pain daily i do not enjoy.
and i never once said it was 6grand worth of pot. i only pay for the expenses to grow the pot. unlike you he is a kind person that wants to help people with their pain, suffering so they may enjoy the life they have.
you sure do like to make assumptions. i only offered 1 person. who had robbed my house because he found out i have a medical card. which made me a target for local criminals because they want what i had. and so i moved away from the small town i was in after months of being harassed.
only people who don't spend time with me would call me a drug dealer because i know stoners, growers, and pipe blowers. you obviously have something against people that smoke pot. Ive had a rough time trying to find jobs and such so i worked for family and as soon as i move to try something on my own before i even have time to find a job i get harassed and looked at like i am doing something wrong because i have pot and money without a current job.
