What's the Penalty for a MIP in Oregon
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Oregon - Clackamas County

I was stupid, coming back from a little get together where I had drank a few beers. I was pulled over for brushing a curb. I repeatedly lied to the officer saying that I had not drank. Long story short, I had to take breathalyzer and it came back as .04. I was given an MIP and so did my passengers. What should i expect? I want to talk to an attorney, which I will try and do soon.

I plan on pleading guilty, however I want to try and keep some details at rest so I was thinking about pleading no contest. This will be my first court appearance and I have a clean record (17 years old). Will my license be suspended? I need to drive to college and it would really be difficult. Also, I’m going to a juvenile court, will this help?

Can anyone help and point me in the direction as to what I should say in court and what I should expect for receiving an MIP. Also it’s been a month and I haven’t got a letter in the mail about my court appearance, my two passengers have already. Should I call the court or just wait?

Are you stating that you're only charged with MIP, or are you in fact charged with drunk driving under your state's zero tolerance law?

You should talk to a criminal defense lawyer before entering a plea. You should expect that a drunk driving conviction will result in the suspension of your license and very high insurance rates.

The officer was generous and I was only cited with an MIP. Will the judge handle a plea of no contest the same as guilty? As in he/she won't be harsher to one conviction over another?
