    Collections after discharge
What actions are there if a collection agency puts a debt on your credit after the discharge, but the debt was incurred before you filed for bankruptcy chapter 7? I had no idea about two medical bills that insurance did not pay and they were added after the discharge. Now they are shoing on my credit report. One is from the hospital that I did include another bill from and it was discharged if that matters.

There is only a problem listing the bills if they were discharged in the bankruptcy. It isn't clear from what you write that these bills were discharged. If you're not sure, check with your bankruptcy lawyer.

I have two that were included in the discharge, but there is one that was not. What actions are there for the two that were discharged?

How about disputing the debts with the credit reporting agency, and contacting the lenders directly to remind them of the discharge.

In most cases, if your bk was a no-asset Ch 7, then ALL pre-petition debts are considered discharged whether they were listed or not. That should be your position too. If the collections get aggressive, you can always re-open your case to add the debt.

On discharged debts, ANY collection activity, including placement of a collection on your reports, is a violation of your discharge and you could nail them with contempt charges for it. Write them a letter and tell them if they don't stop their illegal actions, you will pursue contempt charges against them in bk court.
