How to Kick Out a Subtenant in California
I'm a tenant with two other ladies in San Francisco. I've given one of my roommates a 30 days notice, traceable via email, and she claims that we have no grounds to evict her. I've been looking at your site, and found a couple of entries saying if there is a subleaser in your house (we're allowed to have 1), that all you need to do is give a 30 days notice. She's been here less than 1 year, and been given about 31 days notice. Do you have any specific california civil codes, or criteria that I can shoot back at her to prove that we do indeed have grounds to evict.

The only legal issue I have backing me is that she's paid rent late 2 times out of the 5 months she's been here.

    Eviction in California
You should look to the resources on the California Courts Self-Help Center website.
