When Can the Police Get a Search Warrant for Suspected Theft
My question involves search and seizure law in the State of: california
How many search warrants do police execute in a month in a big city like LA. Would they get a search warrant for a petty crime like if they believe someone had stolen a bicycle and the stolen bicycle is inside a person's home. Would they get a search warrant to look for the stolen bicycle inside the person's home?

As with your other question, no one can tell you if they will, but they most definitely can.
Do yourself a favor and stop stealing.
Re: Search Warrant Statistics
Just because a big city like LA has a lot of other more serious crimes does not mean they will not come after you. Every courthouse in LA has a misdemeanor and even a traffic infraction division. That is the courtroom specifically for people like whomever it is you are talking about. There are hundreds of people going through those courtrooms every day.
Re: Search Warrant Statistics
If they have probable cause to believe that the stolen property is in your home, they can apply for a search warrant. Whether they will do so or not depends on whether or not they have sufficient case to convince a court that the bike is likely at your house.
Search warrants for petty thefts are not common in any jurisdiction I am aware of.

So police generally don't get search warrants for people suspected of committing petty misdemeanor crimes.
Re: Search Warrant Statistics
What good is a bicycle if the thief is going to keep it INSIDE? If he/she uses it (rides it outside), it is no longer in the home and no search warrant is required.

In CA we cannot obtain a search warrant for most (but not all) misdemeanors. There is a short list of exceptions including theft.
