    OPT (Optical Practical Training)
Hi all, I have a question about OPT. I just recently started my OPT at a company out in Arizona. My work permit card is valid untill May 2011 however I only want to work at the company I am currently at for the summer. I would like to find another job after leaving this company. Is this allowed? working for 2 different companies at different points in time under opt.

    Re: OPT (Optical Practical Training)
You may ordinarily change employers after you have begun authorized OPT employment provided the new job is both directly related to your major field of study and appropriate for someone with your level of education. The changes must be promptly reported to the Designated School Officials (DSOs) overseeing your OPT - you should consult them for information. More details can be found here.
