Underage Trespassing
My question involves criminal law for the state of: new jersey
okay long story short me and my friends where walking around town and we saw the middle school football field. i don't remember seeing any trespassing sign but there was a whole in the fence so we just walked in on the field and sat down. we were there for 3 min and as we were getting up to leave 4 officers surrounded us and took us to the station nd took our pictures. we are all under the age of 18 and do good in school. this is my first time going to the police station and i have court in a couple of weeks. will this hurt my chances of college? i take ap classes and i am a good student. will this also hurt my chances of getting a scholarship? sorry for the essay.
also i don't believe we were charged with criminal trespassing because i heard some of the cops talk about not charging us with that.

Trespassing as Minor
what if you were underage? i just turned 17 today (commited trespassing when 16) what happens to me? i walked onto a school football field with no intentions on doing any harm or drugs. can i still get a job? will college be harder to get into? can i still get a scholarship?

Re: Underage Trespassing
You don't believe you were charged with criminal trespassing. What, if anything, do you believe you were charged with?
If you're not charged with anything, I would not expect this to have any impact on your future.

Re: Underage Trespassing
i heard them talk about charging us with either criminal trespassing or trespassing. idk if they did charge us with criminal trespassing. either way i have to appear to court and this is my first time going to court. i don't know what to expect.
