Re: Corruption of a Minor
You can call him your Sweet Baboo, your Snoogie-Woogie or your Hottie McSexypants. Not illegal.
As for the rest, read the sticky. And if his Mama says no contact? Game Over, step off or risk prosecution.
Re: Corruption of a Minor
That sticky isn't too helpful, it just says what the age of consent is, and I know that. And his parents actually like me and think I'm a good influence. I'm just worried about a 3rd party that might turn us in.
Re: Corruption of a Minor
if you know what the age of consent is, then you know that if he is too young, you leave him alone. What else do you want?
here are the laws written out for you:

Re: Corruption of a Minor
Yes, well, everything that's in the books refers to sexual acts. We aren't doing any of that. All I want to know is what we are allowed to do, like watch a movie in the same room by ourselves, that isn't sexual. (that people might do on a date that, again, wouldn't be sexual) And what a suspicious person that doesn't know the full story would need as evidence to turn us into the cops.
And it's really easy to judge and say hands off when you don't understand what it's like to have strong feelings for someone that society determines is too immature for you to date, when you know otherwise. I understand where you're coming from, as I probably would say the same thing before I met him. I'm just doing everything I can to make sure we can make it till he does turn 18.

Pardon me, but this is ample evidence that you should not be having any kind of relationship with this 16 year old.
Re: Corruption of a Minor
It always amazes me when a (in this case) 21 year old (supposed to be) WOMAN is so enamored with a child. Makes me wonder what is going on with the lack of maturity and lack of judgment.
What, are there no men where you are that are available? Like one without a curfew or one that could buy you a drink?
Re: Corruption of a Minor
I'm actually a man, and I can tell you that age isn't always a sign of maturity. Every man I've dated has typically been a few years older than I have been, and few have been as mature as he has. No reason to be offensive or judgemental, I just want answers.

What does this have to do with the ops question? Obviously there's a reason he's with him, because he wouldn't be otherwise.
OP, if only him and you know about anything you two do, it wouldn't be illegal now, would it? ;) Just keep it all in private.

Ya see, this is where you are simply wrong. Maturity has nothing to do with the limitations put in place by the statutes. All they care about is the number (age). While you may claim he is more mature than his age, what is very obvious is you are lacking maturity for your age. Grow up.

From just your postings, I would put money on you not making it until he turns 18.
Oh, and anybody aware of the crime can report it. There is also people considered "mandatory reporters" and if they are aware of the crime, they are required, by law, to report the crime.
