K-1 Visa, Just Married, Sponsor Arrested
If the US sponsor commited a crime that crossed state lines, could the foreign spouse be deported? They are only at the newly wed, turning in the papers and setting up the interview stage of the process.
By crime: Threatening to come to a persons house and either beat the crap out of them or murder them. This person does have a gun. The person being threatened is filing a police report. Person making the threat currently lives in another state, is an OTR Truck Driver so he is in the state a lot, and his parents live less than 45 minutes from person being threatened.
Re: K-1 Visa, Just Married, Sponsor Arrested
My friend and I just need to know.
We're sitting on screen captures and links to the threats.
We don't want the guy (loser that he is) to have his wife deported because of his threats. But in the event of future ones, we want to tell him: You are already at Federal Threat Level. You're involved with an Immigration case, and if we file charges, your bride may be deported. So stop the threats and contact now.
Re: K-1 Visa, Just Married, Sponsor Arrested
Are we talking about a pending I-134, or one that has already been processed and approved?
Your friend can be prepared by lining up another potential sponsor, "just in case", but if the sponsorship has been approved I doubt that they're going to revisit the sponsor's personal or financial situation.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks.
