    Emancipation in Washington State
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: WASHINGTON

    I want to become emancipated
I am 15 and am very responsible, have never gotten into trouble with the law and and (if i do say so my self) academically well rounded (B's and A's). Me and my mom have butted heads my entire life and i don't think i can take another 3 years of it.There is no physical pain invoved but she has threated to, and i quote, "Sock the s*** out of me." she really does not agree with anything i do unless she has told me to do it, i think it would be in my best interests if i could be more independent from her. I realize i am not not yet old enough or meet all of the requirements but i plan on getting a job at 15 and a half, opening a bank account and keeping a steady job while maintaining grades until i am 16-17 when i will apply.
I also have football and am applied for the college bound scholarship which helps ensure that i will do something with my future.
What Can i do now to help prepare and meet the requirements to be emancipated?

Additional Information (I thought of while typing)
I have a twin brother and Little sister
Mom does NOT have a job(nor finished high school)
I do have a dad and i don't have too many problems with him
Grandfather works with banks and i am sure i could ask him to help me with HOW to pay bills.
(not sure if this counts for anything) i Do not have a Girlfriend
Like i said there is nothing physical, but she is the closest thing you fill find to a mental terrorist,... she has given me more than 1 ulcer over arguments

If it doesn't look like i will succeed inform me on how i can go about making myself more eligible.

Emancipation means you are living outside the home and supporting yourself completely.

WA allows you to petition at 16:

    Quote:

Quoting RCW 13.64.020 - Petition for emancipation - Filing fees.
    (1) A petition for emancipation shall be signed and verified by the petitioner, and shall include the following information: (a) The full name of the petitioner, the petitioner's birthdate, and the state and county of birth; (b) a certified copy of the petitioner's birth certificate; (c) the name and last known address of the petitioner's parent or parents, guardian, or custodian; (d) the petitioner's present address, and length of residence at that address; (e) a declaration by the petitioner indicating that he or she has the ability to manage his or her financial affairs, including any supporting information; and (f) a declaration by the petitioner indicating that he or she has the ability to manage his or her personal, social, educational, and nonfinancial affairs, including any supporting information.

What type of job will you be getting that pays enough to allow you to pay rent, utilities, health insurance, etc.,?

Disagreements with your Mom is not a reason to become emancipated; it is meant for (other than the likes of Miley Cyrus and Macauley Culkin) children who, through no fault of their own (parents killed in a crash for example), need to be able to sign a lease, pay bills etc. and look after younger siblings.

Very few teens can manage sports and a job supporting themselves.

She's your mother, you're a teenager. These fights are NORMAL. It's her job to tell you what to do, and your job to get pissy and resentful about it.

Nothing you've posted indicates that you'd be a candidate for emancipation.
