Harassment: Charged with Harassment in Virginia

have not been bothering my sons father I have been taken everyones advice well today I get a call from the police that he has a text from me from back in december saying come meet me downtown and i'll &*5$ your a%# up...and they said that was a threatening text msg I had to have my pic taken fingerprints taken..and be in a room full of criminals..I CANNOT believe he did this to me. from a december text message...I should have listened and filed the charge when he put his hand to my throat me being dumb and in love I didnt and I should have..! ugh..I did send him the text message so now I will have a misdemeanor..smh..my life gets better and better I swear! I have no one to blame but me. ..this was about 4 weeks ago.. since I wrote that on another board and the magistrate at the jail said not to contact him I havent on mothers day however he contacted me saying OUR SON WAS A *beep* and was always going to be one as long as i continued to ruin his life. I said thanks I will save this info for court I tried to work with you. ( I SHOULDNT HAVE SAID ANYTHING) the next day.. his mistress started calling and harrassing me telling me he use to say F&CK our son and he dont even consider him his child ( we got a dna test 99.9999% his child) so I got mad left work early and filed a child support non support order he's 3 mths behind. i filed this on the 11th of may..n then i emailed his friend and told him to tell his homeboy thanks to his girl that keeps calling me and harrassing me and thanks to his lies and him saying F*ck his son.. i filed a non support order.. come to find out the next day he files another charge on me..
charge 18.2-429 - Causing telephone to ring with intent to annoy
Any person who without intent to converse but with intent to annoy any other person, causes any telephone not his own to ring, and any person who permits or condones the use of any telephone under his control for such purpose shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.

that's the charge I dont understand how he could do that.. because I emailed his friend not him eventhough I did say tell yo homeboy but I hadnt bothered him until he sent me a message about our child being a *beep* child.. and until his girls kept calling me .. ugh I am so stressed out I can not afford 2 misdemeanors I am doing this all by myself with out his help! back on valentines day I took my son to see his grandfather on his dads side and evrything went well until my sons father came and said get this bi&tch out of here didnt acnkowledge his son.. and grabbed me by my throat..i called the cops crying and upset..but told them not to come because they would have had to lock him up and i didnt want them to i didnt want anymore drama..but apparently he has no problem with throwing me in jail! SMH help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not want two misdemeanors on my record...I really want to crawl under a rock and not come backk..What can I do can I beat this case?
