Will the Prosecutor Drop or Reduce the Charges
STATE OF GA
I was assaulted back in feb. when I was 4 1/2 month pregnant end up with broken fingers and in the hospital since then i've been hard. had to hire attorneys , victims compensation cover the bills.
had to file for divorce, to get him to pay, he did not court day is set )contempt.).
after months of waiting, for the DA. I sent her all the proves, medical, pics. everything. finally went to grand jury, and waiting for another month for "recommendation". finally he was set to appear on june 25th. but i havent heard anything from the court or what's going to happened.
called the DA to find out what are the recommendation.nothing yet.
but afraid, that they would drop charges or just forget . or if he pleas guilty. just with probation. it would not be fair, I went throu a lot of pain and emotional distress.
and see the time goes by, with no answer
my question is, what happend if he does not show?
or if he plea guilty???. first time offense.??
he might hire a lawyer.
my question his court date in on june 25 but the contemp court day is on the 27th. for not paying. and following the judge orders.
what can happend.
help.
Re: Will the Prosecutor Drop or Reduce the Charges
If somebody doesn't go to court for their criminal case, the court issues a bench warrant.
We have no reason to believe that the prosecutor will drop the charge, but we can only speak to the odds - it's not our decision and we have no access to the prosecutor or his files.
If he pleads guilty, he will be given a sentence the court deems appropriate based upon the conviction charge, his record and the full facts of the offense.
