Caught Shoplifting in Walgreen's
I just got caught today shoplifting in Walgreen's, and they took my picture, got my info, but there wasn't much backlash for what I did. The manager even bought me the item I tried to steal and gave it to me.
What I'm concerned about is that they told me that Walgreen's has the right to call the police the next time I'm at Walgreen's, though I'm not banned from the store. They just have the right to call the police, but not to arrest me, I guess to just be there as a preemptive strike in case the next time I try to go, I'll try to shoplift again.
I've learned my lesson, and plan to never ever do this again, but I was just wondering what are the chances of Walgreen's calling the police as a preemptive strike next time I go in. I just don't want to have to worry about wasting the cops' time.
Also, I will not be returning to California for several years, and not to this same city, so how much should I be worrying? Will my info be put into a database? I know that they said this only counts for the state of California.

If you're banned, your banned. If you're not banned, why do you think the police would be interested in your visiting the store?
