He should start looking when/if he is charged. An attorney can't help with hypotheticals, only with actual charges and facts.
They held him in jail because they thought he was on something, and the only thing they have given him is search warrant papers. Is it possible they could be processing paperwork right now that he could be receiving later in the week? How long can they keep his phone for? They didn't cite him with anything on the spot...just receipts for getting his car out, search warrant papers, and a receipt for inventory on his wallet.
