Can I Get Emancipated

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Colorado. :confused:
My question is, can i get emancipated? I am 16, currently enrolled in high school, and looking for a job. My Father is abusive, physically, though not often. My mother is also disabled and is on many medications. I am wondering what I need to do and how I go about filing for emancipation. I have read some information online and it seems that I am able to file. but I am confused about how I need parent permission or do they just need to be aware of the proceedings, and how do I let them know. I am just wondering where I go, what to do exactly, and what I need. I am emotionally drained in my family, stressed and though not often I am hurt physically. Does emancipation seem like a good idea at all?

Emancipation is not an option for you; in order to become legally emancipated you would need a proven history of fully supporting yourself.

The state of Colorado does not have a procedure by which one may become legally emancipated.

It recognizes emancipation in its statutes, but does not actually provide the means to become emancipated.

And even if they did, "looking for a job" is enough right there to say, no, to the whole process.

"Have a job, am already living on my own, and paying all my own rent, food, clothes, utilities, medical care, transportation, insurance, internet connection, shampoo, shoes, school fees and supplies, entertainment, and all the other incidentals of life", now THAT *might* get you a nod by the state of Colorado.
