Responsibility for Worker's Comp Medical Bill

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: PA

I was injured at work. It was called into to Worker's comp immediately. The hospital was made aware that this was a worker's comp injury and had all the contact info for the insurance company They covered the bill but didn't pay one of the bills. My claim is still open. I received a call from a debt collection agency about this bill about 4-5 months ago. I have been messing around with them (both collection agancy and worker comp insurance) to resolve this issue. Here comes the angry part. Collection agency just turned this debt into the credit reporting agencies. I'm trying to buy a house and my credit is ruined.
Am I legally responsible for this bill even though it is a worker's comp claim? Do I have grounds for a lawsuit?

I would assume that you signed a contract at the hospital promising to pay any bill that was not otherwise paid by insurance. As you may now have guessed, that would make you responsible to pay any bill that is not otherwise paid by insurance.

What is the hold-up with the bill, and how long has this been going on?
