Felony VOP Charge

I am in Texas . My husband has 2 court times on Friday. The first is a arraignment for felony VOP violation , our attorney is saying he will be put in jail that day , the pretrial bonding is saying he doesn't even have to be there . Which one do we believe ?

The next is the reason he violated . He is charged with harrassement of a public servant . The D.A. is offering 5 years in TDC , but the attorney is saying go to jury trial . We are very confused in what to do . Our attorney is saying not to worry about the harrassement , but to be more concerned about the VOP. Please help...any suggestions about what to do.

p.s. originally he has a 10 year TDC sentence suspended for 8 years probation. This is his only violation.

Given that your lawyer is paid to answer these questions, and to know the answers, I would have to bet on your lawyer. If your husband requires more clarification, he should call his lawyer.
