Distribution of Nude Pictures After Break-Up

This happened just recently and I am going through lots of emotions and issues at this point of time. Please advise me asap. I had a boy friend who was married with kids and in an affair with me for couple of years. I knew about his relation but accepted him out of love and support he gives to me. During that period I consented couple of times, though reluctantly, to take nude pics and videos of mine in privacy. He took that with his camera and saved for himself. After lots of issues and fightings we broke up and I got married to some one else and kind of settled down in my life. I am basically from east Asia where chastity is given preference on top of any thing. My husband never knew about my previous intimate relationship until now. Just recently my parents called me from my country and told me that, couple of families who are distantly related to us in the origin country got my nude pictures and videos via mail which were taken by my ex. They watched it briefly and angrily confronted with my parents about it and want to bring this to the notice of in-laws. If that happens my current marriage will end instantly no matter what. Now I am so angry about my ex and so anxious about my future at the same time. I would like to ask what are my legal options in my scenario?

1) pics and videos were taken in USA but they were mailed to east asian country. Does any legal ground exists here?
2) How do I take my ex to the court in the above case? I knew that these pics and videos were taken by him but when they were sent/mailed to the other country, there is no senders address provided. Except that there is a proof that, those were mailed out of USA.
3) I need to act on this case all alone as I can't afford to let my husband know about this issue. We live together so need to find out the way to pursue this case without his knowledge. Is there any way I can give power to some one else to proceed on this case on my behalf?

I want to put that guy in the jail for what he has done. Please give me your valuable suggestions.

Isn't there any difference between using the pictures for intended purpose i.e private vs sharing with others?

I do not have any signed contract about the intent but in most of such cases you know it would be only verbal commitment. How can any body so easily play with some one else's life?

one more thing worth to mention here is that he abused me several times through emails saying that I have used his money and pushed him into the bankruptcy (i believe all these are lies) and he called me names and owed to teach me a lesson. He has not related any of those threats to the videos and pics. As I am thinking more about whole scenario, I am getting into how cleverly he has pushed me into this situation and knew what to speak and what not speak to it seems. god.

Because that's a choice you made - you allowed him to play.

Had the images been published in a public arena you may have, perhaps, had a cause of action for invasion of privacy since you signed no release to allow this. But the simple forwarding via email or mailing the photographs/video does not, I believe, rise to this.

as long as the guy isn't selling the pictures, you really have no control over them. Sorry. It's a dumb mistake that way too many people are making without considering the possible consequences.

Totally agree! You'd think....well, yeah.

I have a pretty simple rule of thumb.

Do not say or do anything that you wouldn't want your spouse, priest, employer or grandmother to know about.

I agree. This is very complicated issue.

How about invasion of privacy as I have never given permission verbally or written for the images to be shared
