    Unhappy Applying for a Green Card While H1b is Pending

    Here is a summary of my situation:
    (1) H1B pending (filed on April 1);
    (2) OPT expires this July;
    (3) my wife just become a US citizen and I want to file a marriage-based GC application, including i765.

    My question is: Considering my H1B is still pending, is it OK for me to file i130/i485/i765 now, or must I wait until the H1B result comes out? More specifically, will filing i765 adversely affect my pending H1B application?

    Thank you in advance!

    It's okay to file to adjust your status now.
