Default Am I Going to Jail for Paying Late

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: INDIANA

Hey, I was pulled over in Indianapolis, IN (well, I think technically the agency was the Speedway Police Department) for going straight in a right-turn only lane when the light turned green. I received a "disregarding posted sign" ticket and I went to pay it the night before online but it would not let me because you have to pay at least 48 hours from ticket due date and I only had 30 some hours left. I tried calling, but every single time for the last week and a half it says "Due to high call volume, we cannot take your call. Please try later." I have never got someone on the phone.

I will pay the ticket. I have no problem paying the ticket, but should I just go down in person?

Second question is what is going to occur now that I'm late paying this ticket?

Since you can't get anyone on the phone, and the mail can sometimes be delayed, yes, you should just handle it in person. It will save you a lot of anxiety.

The clerk will tell you that you're late. There might be a late fee.

Breathe. We're talking a day or two late, right?

Yeah, it was due March 27th.

Ha ha, yeah I'm breathing I wasn't stressing it like that. Believe me I've been in a court room once or twice in my life (traffic & criminal), I just wasn't sure what procedure is for not paying on time for such a minor ticket.
