My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Ohio
i'll try to make this short.
was pulled over coming home from college back in 1993. got speeding ticket for 68 in a 60. paid the ticket.
just this month, i receive a letter from capital recovery systems saying that i owe $75.40 for a seat belt violation from 1993. i called them and told them that the charge was not valid and that i would not pay.
i looked it up on the actual court website. my name, street and city were all misspelled. date of birth was blank. "hearing date" and "file date" both showed 9/27/1993 (odd for a hearing to be on the same day that a ticket was issued?) ... "violation date" shows 9/27/1909
defendant's plea shows "Vb"
"defendant found" is blank
should i write the court a letter about this? i think it's wrong and ridiculous, but i don't want to ignore it now and have something stupid happen later...
