Default Ex-Boyfriend Writes Bad Checks from Joint Account

    State: Virginia

Unmarried couple separating. Ex-boyfriend used joint checking account to pay for car repairs on jointly titled car, which is his daily commuter vehicle. We each contribute equal monthly deposits to this account and we each have our own separate accounts also. He knew joint account did not have sufficient funds to cover car repairs and that this was his sole responsibility. I had to replenish account to make check good. Then I closed account.

How do I get him to reimburse me for repairs to "his" car?

You sue him in small claims court.
