My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Georgia
I approached a four-way intersection with a traffic light - the light has a left arrow for the left lane and a right arrow for the right lane. The street is two-way ahead, but there's one of those curved barriers with small poles to prevent you from going straight (when you come from the other direction, you can only turn right or left). There are no signs posted. I was in the right lane and I made a partial right turn, then jogged around the barrier to go straight.
I got pulled over and cited with Georgia 40-6-20. He wrote "Failure to obey traffic control device 'No Left Turn' posted."
There are no signs posted "No Left Turn" anywhere, plus I didn't even make a left turn. I made a right and made sort of a small u-turn. Also, does this barrier count as a traffic control device?
Do I stand a decent chance of fighting this successfully in court? It doesn't seem to me that the citation was made properly, but then I'm not a lawyer and have never received a citation before, so I don't really know.
