    Default Developer Cut Increased

Ok, I will do my best to explain this to you. I work under a NDA for a company, They recently found out they might be getting served with a Copyright claim, they just increased their cuts, decreasing mine and another groups by 9%.When I first started working there their cut was 33%, which increased to 42%. Is this legal if they do it without contacting me? If not, what If I signed a contract when I first started working for the company clearly stating that the cut was going to be set at 33% until I stop working?

May I state they are the developers, the owners of the company, meaning they carry such privilege's to do so unless by law.

Their way of informing me was via a forum. Their post:
Due to the current state of everything we need to raise the developer cut from 33% to 42%. changes will effect all sales starting midnight.
    Thanks to anyone who replies!

Unless your contract specifies that it can't be modified without your consent until a specified future date, as you are an independent contractor, they are free to change the terms at any time and you are free to decline to work under the new terms.

I doubt that the contract we're to assume you signed (did you sign one or not) requires them to utilize your services indefinitely, with no right to terminate the relationship.
