    Default Proper Procedure

I recently turned in a person that I know who had a warrant for their arrest. Shortly afterward I received a call from one of his relatives informing me that the sheriff's department told them that I had called and gave them his workplace information. Is the sheriff's department permitted to do that?

They should not have, and whoever told the family member that is a freakin' moron. It's already hard enough getting cooperation from people without some booger eating idiot like that making things worse.
