Default Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy

    Hi

I'm a looking to set up a website through which I can sell my own written articles and ebooks. I will be using Paypal and Paypal alone to complete all transactions.

Is there a need for me to set up a Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions to be displayed on my site? If this is the case how do I go about this or who do I approach to write this for me?

Please also indicate if there are any other legal documents (if any) that I would need to display on the site.

    Thanks for the help!

Yes, you should do that for a variety of reasons.

Look at other sites, it is all pretty standard boilerplate. Just adapt it to your business.

Make sure PayPal terms allow the sale of digital products and you don't violate other terms like adult content. Google checkout also has a process for digital product delivery. Google does not allow sale of services. Google will ask you the URL of your privacy policy, terms and conditions, etc.

Take a look at professional vendors of similar products and you'll get a sense of what you need. Yes, of course, a privacy policy and terms of use make sense. As you intend to be a vendor, you would want policies for refunds, returns, exchanges, etc., to be accepted by your customers when they buy your products. The services you use, such as PayPal, may require that certain language or content be included in your terms of use.
