Emancipation by marriage

hi, i'm 16 years old and i want to get married and become emancipated to become an adult but my parents told me that there is no way that they will consent to my marriage but i will go to any length to become emancipated an married, is there anyway that i become married and emancipated legally without the consent of my parents, is there a legal action that i can take to get married without my parents consent, I live in ohio so i can only become emancipated if i am married.

well i live in Ohio so can you tell me what the laws for emancipation and marriage are in ohio? I need to know if there is any legal action i can take to marry my 18 year old boyfriend without my parents consent to become emancipated, I'm 16.

Ohio normally requires parental consent for a minor to be issued a marriage license. You should be able to get details on the application process from your county probate court.

What if I ran away to another state that lets you get married at a different age? So I can get emancipated...? Could I still get into trouble for running away?

Every state requires either parental consent or a court order for a minor to marry - or both. To get a court's permission, you would need to be a legal resident of the state.
