Default Extradition Warrant on Probation Violation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: new york and florida

my fiance had been arrested in miami a year or so ago for a dui and fleeing the scene. he spent 6 months in jail in miami and was let out on probation. he had his probation transfered to new york and had been doing everything he was suppose to be doing, except he didnt pay his restitution on time. he was pulled over last week while a passanger in his friends car and when they ran his lisence there was a warrant for his arrest in miami. i was wondering if i pay the restitution or atleast make as much of a payment as i can, if the chances of them extraditing him are less? or if theres anyway to get him out of being extradited..

Default Re: Extradition Warrant on Probation Violation

He can contact his probation officer to discuss his options. If the only issue is unpaid restitution, and he's otherwise satisfied all the terms of his probation, it's possible that paying off the restitution will be sufficient to resolve the issue.
