My question involves vehicle maintenance laws for the State of: Washington
I was recently issued a ticket for not having a "front plate." However my plate was in the front windshield very clearly conspicuous. The statute is RCW 46.240.16. In this it says nothing about not being in the windshield, but it does state, I believe 3 or 4 requirements for my plate, which it satisfies. I have a couple questions...
1. The ticket says "No front plate", is this filled out properly?
2. Is my plate legal in the windshield?
3. Would it be treated as a fix-it ticket if I just put it on?
Thanks, and I know everyone just says "Put it on the car" but I like the natural lines of my car and the front plate disrupts that.
