Can I Get Arrested If My Ex-Girlfriend Implicates Me in a Crime

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Tennessee
Ok, well I dont know if this is the right section but it seemed closest to me.
Well a few days ago the dtf calls my ex girlfriend saying for her to come in
and talk to them that me and her were in trouble about something. Well I tried to get here to come over to my house to talk about it and she ended up not doing that. Well they never tried to contact me or anything I called and asked what it was about and they said they couldnt speak about it over the phone. Well she ended up going and I stayed the hell away from there as my family told me I didnt have to go unless they had some paper on me or something and I thought there reasoning was good. Well she ended up admitting to sometihng that we both done and they told her which they had us on tape (which I do not believe they do or they would come arrest me instead of saying lets go talk) well can I get arrested since she admitted to it and I didnt?

Yes, they can come after you as she is a material witness and her statement indicates your participation in the crime.

What you need to beware of is that the DA usually cuts the female a lighter sentence deal or immunity in exchange for her sworn testimony. Basically, they let her off the hook if she hangs you.

Without graphic details, what is the crime and how are you two tied to it? What could she possibly have told them? What was your level of participation as oppossed to hers?

Reason for asking is that how deep you were in it and how deep she is could have alot to do with things as well as what they are trying to do.

Also, what is the "dtf"? Different areas have different names for departments and police divisions so not everyone is going to know what "dtf" stands for

Its the drug task force. And we were selling roxys to some guy that was sellin em to another guy and they still havent tried to contact me or anything do you know why they haven't or might not have? and this happened over 6 months is there a certain amount of time where they miss arresting you for it?

It would depend upon the seriousness of the charge. The limitations period is probably 2 to 4 years.

I dont do drugs that often and that wasn't something I do everyday it was like a once in a lifetime thing idk how they knew about the incedent but like you said it is the dtf lol, but would there be a warrant out for my arrest if they are going to arrest me since she admitted to that? and if they would arrest me what would they be arresting me for? possesion? i dont even have anything drug related in my house anymore so idk attempt to sell? couldnt i just deny that and say she is a liar? lol

When was the gf brought in for questioning? Was it 6 months ago or recently? Do you have contact with her? What has she said about it?

They can't arrest you for possession unless you are in possession. Trafficking, distribution, sales..... depends on what the gf gave them.

We don't know how they knew. Maybe they didn't and she gave up the goods and now they do know. Who knows??.... it doesn't really matter now. They may have had the goods and just needed someone to confirm it. Now they are looking for someone else in the deal that can pin it all on you.

Sure you can deny it and confornt her in court. But, what if they bring in others and they all finger you?? There goes any chance of a deal. Its a gamble.

Then, maybe they got nothing. An ex could be excused as unreliable due to personal agenda against you. You know, broken heart syndrome; payback time.

When's the last time you heard anything about the case? When was the last contact with any cop for any reason?
