Question How to Remove a Non-Biological Father from the Birth Certificate

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Washington/Alaska

Here is my story; its a long one!

My daughter was born in AK in 2005 (she is almost 5) my boyfriend at the time (who we were not sure was the father) signed the birth certificate and she took his last name.

When she was 2 we got a paternity test done it was not court ordered and we paid for it ourselves (i still have the results) and he was proved to not be the father.

I tracked down her biological father, and he has seen her maybe a handful of times and sends money every now and then. But lately he has been out of the picture.

I have been married for the past 3.5 years and my husband is her "father" as far as she knows. we now live in washington ( military )

How do i remove the nonbiological father from her birth certificate and change her last name to mine?

also i do not want to put her biological father on her birth certificate, because he really wants nothing to do with her. so shall i leave it blank or could i put my husband on it?

im stuck! thats why its taken be 3 years, i dont know where to begin!

If you want to put your husband on the birth certificate and change the child's name to his, consider step-parent adoption.
