Custodial Parent Won't Respond to Contact

ALABAMA;

If there were problems between CP and NCP (bc of childrens bad behavior) and the CP said the children would not be back and NCP would be hearing from her lawyer...but there was never any contact from a lawyer and no contact between CP and NCP since last visitation weekend...and NCP tried to contact CP to make sure CP was going to let the children come for their visitation and the CP will not answer or respond...
What should the NCP do?

CP and childre live 2 hours away (CP moved) and if the CP does not let the children go with NCP that will be lots of gas and time wasted....

Should NCP still go?
or

Should NCP keep a record of attempted phone calls and texts showing that the CP did not respond and not go?

Not really sure what to do....

NCP should meet up in the required meeting place and document the phone calls and texts that are attempted. If CP doesn't show then you can file for contempt on the CP.

This I am saying if there is a court order saying NCP gets this and this weekend, but CP isn't giving it to NCP.

If there is no court order in place saying NCP gets this weekend, NCP is SOL and if they feel like it's the best for the children they should file for a custody order.

yes..there is a court order.....NCP is ordered to pick up the children on fridays at 6pm and CP is to pick up children at 6pm on sundays...

Then NCP needs to be at the meeting place at 6pm. Wait an hour or so, call the CP numerous times. If the CP doens't show up, Monday morning NCP better be down at the courthouse filing papers of contempt. ALSO sometimes the sheriffs dept will make a report, but some won't. Here where I live they didn't... but that's why the court orders should be filed with the sheriffs dept...
Either way, meet up if CP doesn't show up, file papers. Continue to try to contact child through phone, text, email whatever... Document EVERYTHING!!!

I do this every time he is to meet me with our kids, call for a stand by officer and they will give you a ref number and a card with their name, ect. That will show your witness. That way their is no misunderstanding, also in the past a few officers called and left messages, or one time spoke with my ex.
