My question involves real estate located in the State of: Oklahoma
Thank you all in advance for your thoughts and attention. I inherited my Grandmother's estate, the bulk of which was comprised of oil and gas rights and leases in several Oklahoma counties. The background is, in a nutshell, my Grandmother inherited theses rights from her Aunt, who received them in a divorce settlement. The divorce settlement agreement states that she was to receive 50% of all interests that she and her husband had acquired during their 30 year marriage. Further in the document it spells out what these interests were and included the counties and legal descriptions. I have recently found records (the husbands will and probate), that indicate that they may have had many more mineral interests that did not come to light during the divorce settlement. If he hid these rights from his wife during the divorce, and the fraud was not discovered, do I have any right to claim them, owing that they should have been hers to begin with and would have come down to me through inheritance. This divorce occurred in 1948, subsequently he died in 1957, and she died in 1968. Would statute of limitations preclude me from prevailing in my claim. Thanks. awclark
