Default Property Tax Implications of Foreclosure

State of Ms....My home is in foreclosure...My property tax will be due in a month and a half...It is not escrowed...I pay it in a lump sum each year...I do not have the money to pay it this year...

I guess what I am asking is this...will it be the lender who pays the county and then attaches it to any deficit I have, or will the county come after me for it?

    Thanks in advance...

Default Re: Property Tax Implications of Foreclosure

I would expect that, somewhere down the line, whomever acquires the property after foreclosure will pay off the tax arrearage.
