My question involves criminal records for the state of: North Carolina / Forsyth County
I am 27. When I was 18 in a dispute with a family member I left home. My step mother found a sawed of shot gun that belonged to a friend but was in my possession. she turned it into the Sheriff's Office who arrested me.
the charge was felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction.
the judge gave me a prayer for judgment (PJC)...
since then I have had ZERO incursions with law enforcement of any kind and I have worked for the US military with a flawless performance and conduct record . I am looking at a pretty substantial promotion if that can be expunged. I was recently made aware that a PJC and a "guilty" plea are the same thing in NC...
what is the best course of action and is it even possible to get this type of charge expunged?
