Default Suing Somebody Who Falsely Accuses You

and your case has been dismissed. Can you counter-sue him to lock him up? In this scenario the accuser has 16 various citations, 2 drug convictions and Domestic Violence conviction. He's also dead broke and has a judgment against him so the point of the lawsuit would be just to return the favor and make life harder for him as I had to lose a job because of this person. Luckily I got a better one in the process.

What makes you think that he'll automatically be jailed if you file a countersuit?

Slander is a civil matter. You can counter-sue, but he won't go to jail if you prevail.

Well I believe he has a warrant out for his arrest for domestic violence case. I don't think people like that should be free. I don't care if it costs me another 10k to make this persons life hell.

Well, good luck with that, but you're not going to be able to force the cops to pick him up on his warrant - if he even has one - either.

Mind where you step. If you're foolish enough to devote your life to making someone else miserable, you may well find yourself peering out between cell bars, wondering how you're going to get out of harassment/stalking charges.

I don't have to stalk him or harass him. It cost me over 20k to clear my name because this person figured it would be fun to give a false statement. I lost a job offer in the process. I planned on applying to law school later this year and this will put a dent in that as well.
I'm not personally gonna involve myself in the case... I have a lawyer for that. just trying to make the world a better place. Because what happened to me, is certainly not justice and I hope it doesn't have to happen to anyone else.
