    Default College Tuition Debt

    My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: New York

    I attended a private university for 2 years starting back in 200-2002. Due to some unfortunate circumstances i was unable to go back. I do not owe any student loans but do owe college tuition. I understand they cant release my transcripts which i am ok with cause do not plan on going back. Are there any other consequences that can happen to me?

    sure, they can chase you for the money and sue you if they want.

    yes, it would seem odd but I believe the statute of limitations is 6 years so you have 4 more to wait before it makes any difference.
