My question involves criminal law for the state of: Houston Texas
I know the attorney's are busy and over loaded with cases from Harris County but do anyone know anybody who got a fair deal or got off with a criminal defense attorney appointed by the courts? Last year my boyfriend went to jail for selling drugs, he was only standing around at the store, when the cops pulled up everybody ran execpt him, he and another guy went to jail, with a court appointed attorney he was looking at 6 years, I hired him a lawyer for 1,500 and he got 4 months state jail he just signed for his time instead of fighting it ,big difference, in time, Are texas court appointed lawyers any good or we are doomed if you get in trouble ?
