Default Medical Bills from on Site Injury

My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Indiana

I was working hotel security for an outside security agency in November 2007 and was sent to the emergency room by the night supervisor due to injuring my shoulder during an altercation with a hotel guest. Now I am receiving collection notices from the hospital due to unpaid medical bills that were supposed to have been billed to the security agency. What are my options to resolving this issue?

have you contacted your employer and asked them why they have not paid the bill?

Did you inform the hospital that this was a injury suffered on the job?
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.

I haven't had success in contacting the employer and the hospital says it's my responsibility, even though when I was asked for billing information, I told them that Majestic sent me and they said it would be billed to them.

Do you still live in the area?

How long ago did you first receive a notice of the bill?

Did the hospital state if they had any contact with Majestic and if so, why they refused to pay?

Yeah, still in the area. Notice came in about a year ago I think. When I first got notice, I called and told them the scenerio and they said the employer account didn't cover the bill and they didn't have the right information. I gave them the employer information and didn't hear anything about it again until about a month ago when I got a letter from a debt collection agency. I received another letter the other day where they gave me 30 days to dispute the debt in which I replied to requesting the information be sent to me. Once I receive that information, I was planning on going to the employer to find out why the bill didn't get paid and hopefully that will resolve the issue, but I'm not entirely sure what to do if they refuse.
